offbeat beta
Terms

Beta terms you can actually read.

Effective July 8, 2026, for the free public beta.

The service

Offbeat analyzes prose and, when you ask, rewrites it. It is provided free during the beta, as-is and as-available. Beta means things will occasionally break, limits may change, and features may be added or removed; material changes to these terms or to pricing will be announced on the site.

Your text

You keep all rights to what you paste and to what comes back. You are responsible for having the right to submit the text in the first place, and for reviewing the output before you use it: a rewrite can change nuance, and you are the editor of record. How text is processed is described in Privacy, which is part of these terms.

Fair use of the beta

Rate limits and input caps exist so the free beta stays available to everyone. Do not automate against the web endpoint, resell access, or attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service's internals, its rules, or its prompts. Do not submit text you have no right to process, and do not use the service for unlawful ends. We may block abusive traffic without notice.

What Offbeat does not promise

No warranty of fitness, availability, or of any particular score. Offbeat makes no claims about AI detectors and is not built to defeat them. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a free beta service is limited to zero.
